William Henry Thomas, 66 years old of Decatur, AL, formerly of Advance Indiana died Thursday, January 24, 2008 in Decatur General Hospital.

He was born June 2, 1941 in Kentucky, Son of the late William Clarence Thomas and Nancy Johnson Thomas.

He married Sharon A. Elliott on July 23, 1982 in Lebanon, Indiana.

He was a member of the American Legion of Crawfordsville and the Eagles Lodge #4128 in Decatur Al.

He graduated from Ladoga High School in 1958.

He retired from General Motors in 1999.

He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon A. (Elliott) Thomas and his mother Nancy Thomas of Jamestown, and children Tim Thomas of Williamsport , IN. Tim Wethington of Summit, KY. Jimmy Berzenye of Lebanon, IN and Corky Berzenye, of Fort Wayne, and Tammy Thomas of Indianapolis IN. 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Everett H. (Mary Lou) Thomas of Danville, IN. Joe (Mary Alice) Thomas of Jamestown,, IN. David Thomas of Browsnburg, IN. Don Thomas of Atlanta GA. Rick Thomas of Pittsboro, IN. Sisters, Mary Thomas of Jamestown, Sue Hayes(Jim) of Ladoga, IN. Betty Urban(Robert) of Lebanon, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father William Thomas and a brother, Ernest Thomas.

Friends will be received 3:00 to 8:00pm Monday, January 28 at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana.

Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 29 at 2:00pm with Pastor Arthur Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
