Elmo Wayne Delaney

March 26, 1944-November 14, 2020

Elmo Wayne Delaney, known by most as Wayne, 76 of North Salem, IN, passed away quietly and easily on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his home on hospice care.

Wayne was married to Beverly (Putman) Delaney on June 3 ^rd , 1967 in Silver Lake, IN. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. Wayne was a retired industrial maintenance worker. He graduated from Charlestown High School in 1962. He served his country in the Army for 3 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Lucille Delaney, a brother, Barry (Joyce) Delaney and nephew, Christopher Delaney. Wayne is survived by his wife, Beverly, son, Jeffrey (Lori) Delaney of Las Vegas, NV, daughter, Tonya (Bill) Thurmond of Camby, IN, brothers, Glenn (Mildred) Delaney and Michael (Ann) Delaney and his pride and joy, granddaughter, Lisa Ann Thurmond.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Porter & St Pierre Funeral Home, North Salem, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Wayne will be laid to rest with military honors in Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, IN.
