Thelma Eileen(Harting) Stipe was born to William B. and India Harting May 30,l9l7 in Jamestown, Indiana. She died thursday, October 6, 2005, in Hendricks Regional Health at the age of 88.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 10, at the Pisgah Cemebery, Crawfordsville. There will be no visitation. Interment will follow. Grant Hodges of the Grave Baptist Church in Lebanon will officiate.
In 1935 Thelma married John J. Stipe in Jamestown, where they raised two children.
Mrs. Stipe was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers: william B. Harting & George H. Harting, and a sister, Juanita Harting.
She is survived by hers son, John H. Stipe and wife, Nancy, of Indianapolis; a daughter, Judith Carroll of Cottonwood, AZ; six grandchildren & eight great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3001 Elm Swamp Rd., Lebanon, IN 46052.
Arrangements are being handled through Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown.
