Obituary

Sherman A. Mckinney, 68 years old of Thorntown, In died Wednesday, March 1,2006 in University Hospital. He was born August 1, 1937 in Bloss Kentucky. Son of the late Robert McKinney and the late Myrtle Taylor. He was Vice President of the Advance Conservation Club. He retired from Prairie Industry in Lebanon, and had worked for Linda-Air Carbide but was self employed most of his life. He married Phyllis Wethington on October 3, 1958 at the Advance Methodist Church. Surviving are: wife Phyllis McKinney,son Jerry (Cheri) McKinney of Indianapolis, daughter Janet (Sam) McClaine of New Ross, daughter Tammy Spencer of Frankfort, son Jack (Jill) McKinney of Lebanon, daughter Joyce (Steve) Sparenblek of Clermont, sister Ruby Woodall of Jamestown, brother JB McKinney of Crawfordsville, sister Bonnie Patterson of Kentucky, brother Olney McKinney of Jamestown, sister Susie Roberta (Bert) Hale of Jamestown, sister Juanita Edwards of Jamestown, brother Raymond McKinney of Brownsburg, sister Norma Martin of Michigan, 30 grandchildren and 12 great grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Truman McKinney and a sister Dolly Smith. Friends will be received Friday March 3, from 3:00 to 8:00pm 2006 at the Advance Community Christian Church. Services will be held at Advance Community Christian Church, Saturday March 4, 2006 at 2:00pm with Mike Hunsinger and Mark McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown, In. Contributions may be made to the Wishard Burn Center 1001 W 10th St. Dunlap Bldg 4th Floor Indianapolis,In 46202
