Sharon Lee Clendening, 90, formerly of New Ross, Indiana, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026. She was born on February 1, 1936, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the late Patrick A. and Ruth (Morphew) Greeson.

On September 28, 1957, she married James Hubert Clendening in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2010.

She worked in housekeeping in healthcare settings.

Sharon enjoyed going to casinos, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, James “Jim” (Kathy) Clendening of Frankfort, Dale Clendening of New Ross, and Anita Clendening of Darlington; grandchildren, Jace (Lisa) Clendening, Jesse (Kylie) Clendening, Josh (Jen) Wilkinson, JC (Heather) Clendening, Jake Dagley, and Joey Dagley; great grandchildren, Jameson and Jaxson Clendening; and siblings, Buddy and Tommy Clendening, and Armadene Remley.

Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Porter & Hunt Funeral Home, 315 West Main Street, in Jamestown. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at New Ross Cemetery in New Ross, Indiana.

Memorials may be directed in her memory to charity of the donor’s choice.
