Samuel Lee Scott, 91 of Lizton, IN, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019.

He was born December 20, 1927 in Lizton, IN, son of the late Meda and Anna (Baker) Scott. He married Betty Jo Robertson on July 1, 1951.

He graduated from Lizton High School in 1945. After high school, Lee served his country in the US Army during WW2. He retired from Allison's Transmission. He was a member of the Danville American Legion and the New Brunswick Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing cards, especially UNO and Euchre, hunting and gardening.

Lee is survived by his wife, Betty Jo (Robertson) Scott, his daughters, Karen (Richard) Stafford of Clayton and Brenda Zwilling of Lizton, grandchildren, Amanda (Giss) Sawyer, Michelle (Phillip) Anderson, Jennifer (David) Wire, Jamie (Ben) Neal, and Beverley Stafford and 14 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, February 2, 2019 11:00 a.m.until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana, with Pastor Steve White officiating. Lee will be laid to rest in the Lizton K of P Cemetery, Lizton, Indiana.
