Samuel Farris Hatcher, Sr., 91 of Plainfield, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in ManorCare Prestwick.
He was born December 16, 1923 in Laurel Co., KY, son of the late Dan and Judy (Baker) Hatcher. Samuel married Virginia Walker on November 29, 1947. They later divorced.
He is survived by his children; Samuel F Hatcher, Jr., Lois Hatcher, Mary McCullough, George Hatcher, and Judy Chambers, 7 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather Friday, August 14, 2015, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Services will be held at the funeral home, Saturday, August 15, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Alan Farmer officiating. Samuel will be laid to rest in the Old Union Cemetery.
