Mrs. Rosemary Dial, 91, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Saturday morning, October 16, 2021, at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born July 12, 1930, in Westfield, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Katherine (Pendell) Nalon.
Rosemary was married to Donald D. Hannis in Illinois. They divorced and he has since passed away. She later was united in marriage to Johnny Dial in Indianapolis; he survives.
Raised in Westfield, Illinois, Rosemary graduated from high school there. After moving to Indiana, she worked in Indianapolis in human resources for Bryant Air Conditioning and later at IU Health, processing insurance claims.
She attended the Jamestown United Methodist Church. Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, listening to jazz music, and rooting for the Indiana Pacers.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Dial of Indianapolis; four sons, Tom (Sarlota) Hannis of The Hague Netherlands, Jim (Deanna) Hannis of Etowah, North Carolina, John Hannis, and Rock (Tonia) Hannis of Jamestown; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Coletta of California.
Graveside Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana.
Porter and Hunt Funeral Home & Crematory of Jamestown has been entrusted with her arrangements.
