Richard Joe Buckingham, 83 of North Salem, IN, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Danville Regional Rehab.

He was born February 16, 1936 in North Salem, IN, son of the late Earl and Clara Buckingham. He married Martha "Jane" Gossett on November 6, 1976. She survives.

Richard was a member of North Salem Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and breakfast with "the boys" at the Round Table at Liz's Cafe. He was also a Purdue fan. He was the supervisor of computer programming at Mayflower and was also the owner of Buckingham Landscape

In addition to his wife, Jane Buckingham, he is survived by his son, Ronald Buckingham, daughters, Kelly (Chris) Nicholson, Rhonda (Allen) Williamson, and Shelly (Bryan) Stanfield, grandchildren, Scott Williamson, Charlene Stanfield, Charles Stanfield, Clara Stanfield, Wesley England, and Ginette Stanfield and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Buckingham and sisters, Zula Morford and Zuma Siebert.

Family and friends will gather Friday, September 6, 2019, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the North Salem Christian Church, North Salem, IN. Services will be held at the church, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Gossett officiating. Richard will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, IN.
