Raymond E. Shook, "Painter" or "Shooky", 60 years old of Jamestown, IN, passed away peacefully in his home with his family at his side on Wednesday, August 19, 2009.
He was born in Indianapolis, IN, son of the late Walter E. and Melba Sellar Shook.
Ray served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Ben Hur Race Track.
He was the owner of Ray Shook Painting.
Ray is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Tammy; daughter, Amy Chinn and husband Brad of Pittsboro and two loving grandchildren, Matthew and Nick Chinn, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother, Garry (Becky) Shook and sister, Charlotte (Nick) Thurman.
Family and friends will be received at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana, Friday, August 21, 2009 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at Lizton K of P Cemetery, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Wright officiating.
