Mona Jean Knox, 73 years old of Bloomingdale, IN, formerly of Jamestown, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 in Union Hospital.

She was born August 26, 1934 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Martin Luther Kinkead and Julia Elizabeth Walters Kinkead.

She was a member of United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.

She retired from the State Bank of Lizton after 20 years of service. She and her husband owned Knox Real Estate in Jamestown for several years. She also worked for Porter Funeral Home for several years.

Surviving are daughter, Kathy Thomerson, sons, Robert Knox, Lanny Knox, sisters, Judy Wise, Mary Kincaid, 4 grandchildren, Danica Smith, Craig Knox, Lana Knox & Justin Knox and 2 Great-grandchildren, Heaven Smith & Blessing Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrel Knox and sister, Martha Redman, brothers, Steve Kinkead & Bob Kinkead.

Friends will be received Monday, March 17, 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana.

Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Brent Wright officiating.

Interment will follow in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jamestown, Indiana.
