Mary Ellen Phillips, 90 years old of Lizton, IN, formerly of Christiansburg,VA died Saturday, September 24,2005 in Hendricks Regional Health.
She was born on June 9, 1915 in Falls Mills, VA daughter of the late Asa McFarland & Bertha Bennett McFarland.
She was a member of Edgemont Christian Church, Christiansburg, VA.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Madaline(Al) Grody of Fairborn, OH, Janet(Junior) Bland of Blacksburg, VA, Shirley Vance of Fairborn, OH & 1 son James L. (Athlyn) Phillips of Lizton, IN 16 Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren & 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preced in death by her husband, C.Q. Philllips and daughter Bertha L. Phillips & great-granddaughter Natasha Campbell.
Friends will be received 4:00 to 7:00PM Tuesday, September 27 at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana with services to follow at 7:00PM at the Porter Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Smith officiating.
Graveside services will be held at West View Cemetery in Radford, VA on Thursday September 29,2005 at 10:00AM, with Pastor Bobby Sutphin officiating with interment to follow.
