Mary E. Newhart, 104 years old of Jamestown, IN, died Wednesday, August 24, 2005 in Witham Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 3, 1901 in Indianapolis, Daughter of the late Bertram F. & Beulah Moore Walker
She married Elton D. Newhart on July 10, 1920 and he passed away April 9, 1931.
She was a member of Old Union Church; Women's Fellowship & Eastern Star.
She attended Indianapolis Public Schools & graduated from Shortridge High School - 1920
Surviving are 1 Son: Elton"Bud" Newhart & wife Beverly of Jamestown
2 Granddaughters:Jodi Charlton & husband Ed and children Seth, Gabriel & Ethan of Washington, PA
Julie Walker & husband Brian & children Samuel, Grace & Olivia of Lafayette, IN
She was preced in death by her husband & 2 sisters.
friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00PM, Saturday, August 27th at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, August 28th at the Old Union Church with Ed Charlton & Raymond Duff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown, IN
