Mary L. McCullough, 72, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 23, 2023, at her home in Jamestown, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis on December 27, 1950, a daughter of the late Sam and Virginia (Walker) Hatcher.

On September 11, 1967, she was united in marriage to Melvin L. McCullough; he survives.

Mary attended North Salem High School.  She worked for several years in the meat department at the IGA grocery store in Jamestown.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mary loved her family dearly. She enjoyed reading and working on her family tree doing genealogy. She was a faithful member of the Jamestown Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin McCullough of Jamestown; two children, Debra S. Smith of Jamestown, Jason E. (Karla) McCullough of Brownsburg; three grandchildren, Brittan (Alicia) Smith, Derek McCullough, Brooke McCullough; two great grandchildren, Asher Smith and Evie Smith; brothers, Sam Hatcher of Greensburg, George Hatcher of Paoli, Indiana; and her sisters, Lois Hatcher of Greensburg and Judy Chambers of Plainfield.

Family and Friends are invited to the Celebration of Mary's Life on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Cochran's Catering, 29 West Main Street, in Jamestown.
