Martha Lee (Davidson) Hoskins, 82, of Advance died May 18, 2010. She was born in rural Boone County on December 5, 1927 to the late Warner and Lucile (Morrison) Davidson.

She later resided in Hendricks County and attended North Salem schools. She was married to Carl V. Hoskins on December 7, 1946 in Advance. He preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by her children Karla (Steve) Leeke, Jamestown, Karen (Gary) Reynolds, Fishers, Kenny Hoskins, Kevin (Liz) Hoskins and Kris (Denny) Trent, all of Advance. There are 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty Wray of North Salem and brother Wayne Davidson of Fort Myers, Florida. She was predeceased by brothers Gene, Laverne, Max and Darrell Davidson.

Martha worked briefly at Shumate's in Lebanon and later worked in the kitchen at Western Boone High School for 14 years. She was a member of Harvestime Fellowship Church in Jamestown.

To her many friends who called her Mart, she was always generous and kind. To her family, she was a loving housewife, terrific homemaker and tireless chief cook and bottle washer. She was a wonderful sister, mother and grandmother.

Friends will be received Wednesday, May 19, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana.

Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Art Thomas officiating.
