Marion "Bo" O. Walker, 89 years old of Avon, IN , died Monday, March 3, 2008 in Hendricks Regional.
He was born November 23, 1918, son of the late George Walker and Zona Sparks Walker.
He was a member of the Kurtz Booker American Legion Post. He was a co-founder of the Old Fashioned Days of North Salem, and served on the North Salem Town Board.
He served 3 1/2 years in Europe and Africa during World War II.
He worked as a Plant Manager for All Metal in Indianapolis, Dalton Asphalt in Cloverdale & Young Metal in Ladoga. He and his wife also owned The Last Straw antique store in North Salem for 14 years.
Surviving are daughters, Carla (Honaker) Myers of Crown Point, Judy (Honaker) & Brad Clark of Danville, and Marisa (Honaker) & Steve Crouch of North Salem, son, Michael Walker of Jamestown, brother, Jack Walker of Pittsboro, 11 Grandchildren, and 7 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fran Walker, brother, Bob Walker & sister, Virginia Fitch.
Friends will be received Tuesday, March 4, 4:00-8:00 p.m.at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana.
Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Boyd officiating.
Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
