Mrs. Margaret A. Boyer, 88, of Lebanon, passed away July 4, 2017, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.

Margaret was born on July 14, 1928, in Danville, IL, the daughter of the late Samuel Marion and Myrtle Mae (Gay) Coon. She married David Allison Boyer, Sr. on August 3, 1946 in Danville, IL. He passed away on December 9, 1999.

Margaret spent most of her life as a homemaker and briefly worked as a grocery store clerk and an upholsterer at the former Skaggs Upholstery.

Survivors include her children David (Susan) Boyer, Jr. of Lebanon and Ron (Barbie) Boyer of Somerset, KY; 10 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Margaret was preceded in death by her son Rick Boyer, her brothers Henry, Russell, Harold, Raymond, and Francis Coon, and her sister Flossie Mary (Coon) Nixon.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, July 8, 2017 for visitation from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. in the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown. Margaret will be laid to rest at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown.
