Madeline Woodall, 86, passed away peacefully at Independence Village of Avon on Monday, March 30. 2026. She was born July 21, 1939, in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Fred N. and Blanche (White) Basham.
She was previously married to William Lee Woodall.
Madeline attended North Salem High School. Through the years, she had worked at Aircraft Electronics in Avon and a nursing home in Brownsburg, where she dedicated 20 years each to both facilities. Upon retirement, Madeline was a caregiver for over 20 years for her mother, father, and sister.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Lizton as she was a lifelong devoted Christian who loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In addition, she loved her family dearly and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her free time, Madeline enjoyed completing word search puzzles, babysitting her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Survivors include two sons, Robert "Bob" (Lorie) Woodall of Mint Hill, NC and William "Billy" (Brenda) Woodall of Jamestown; three grandchildren, Lacie (Ross) McKamey of North Carolina, Denise (Wesley) Edmonds of Danville, and Josh (Kalie) Woodall of Pittsboro; five great grandchildren, Emmett, Brooks, Aubrey, Beckett, and Liam; a brother, Thomas Glen (Donna) Basham of Brownsburg; a sister, Geneva (Ron) Heller of Pittsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by a sister, Reval Basham.
Private family graveside services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem, Indiana. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home in North Salem has been entrusted with her arrangements.
