Lovenia McHargue 90 years old of Advance passed away Saturday Dec. 9 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Lebanon. She was born May 2, 1916 in Kentucky daughter of the late H.M. Bates and the late Liza Hall. She married Herbert McHargue on Dec. 29, 1933 in London Kentucky. He precedes her in death. She was a member of the Harvestime Fellowship Church in Jamestown. She had attended school in Kentucky and was a homemaker. Surviving are daughters Juanita Vollrath of Lebanon, Hazel Davis of Thorntown, Vicky Fearrin of Lebanon,Roxie McNew of Lebanon, Diane Chittick of Rossville and sons Norman McHargue of Advance, Wayne McHargue of Thorntown, Dennis McHargue of Advance, Rodney McHargue of Lebanon and a brother Jessie Bates of Gatlinburg, TN. 30 grandchildren,29 great grandchildren,5 great great grandchildren. She was prceded in death by her husband Herbert McHargue, children Dolly Lawson, Elizabeth Williams, Sandy Tate and a sister Ethel Bates and brothers Bert, Chester, Jacob, Robert, Estle, Walter and William Bates. Visiting hours will be Tuesday December 12 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the Porter Funeral Home in Jamestown where the service will be Wednesday December 13 at 10:30am with Pastor Arthur Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Jamestown I.O.O.F.
