Obituary

Viola "June" Snyder, 98 of Avon, IN, formerly of Lizton, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016.

She was born June 27, 1917 in Indianapolis, IN, daughter of the late Arthur and Goldie (Kephart) Kidwell.

June was a member of the North Salem United Methodist Church and active in the Hendricks County Farm Bureau. She served her country in the US Navy during World War II. She worked in the offices of Indiana Bell and Allisons.

She is survived by her sons, Willard (Catherine) Snyder of Indianapolis and Steven (Celisa) Snyder of Greenwood, daughter, Nancy Snyder of Lizton, brother, Robert Kidwell of Greenwood, sisters, Vivian Peters of Whiteland and Patricia Walls of Greenwood, grandchildren, Brandon (Rachel) Snyder, Nathan (Allyson) Snyder and Robby Stumph and great-grandchildren, Reid and Lane Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Enos S Snyder and siblings, Lawrence Kidwell, Mildred Lentz, Harry Lee Kidwell and John Kidwell.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the North Salem United Methodist Church, North Salem, Indiana with Rev Greg Way officiating. June will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.
