Juanita Jewel Finchum, 94, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Brickyard Healthcare in Indianapolis. She was born on January 9, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

On July 28, 1965, she was united in marriage to Eugene Finchum. He preceded her in death on October 30, 2010.

Juanita was a dedicated homemaker and loved taking care of her family and home. She loved the Christmas season, from decorating to baking to family get-togethers. In addition, she enjoyed making crafts and sewing. Juanita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Brown of Bishop, California and Bill Brown of Uma, Arizona; stepdaughter, Judy Johns; several grandchildren; and nieces including Rita Wooldridge and Bonnie Robbins.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Juanita was preceded in death by a son, Roy Brown; a daughter in infancy; and a sister, Lavonna Whitney.

Graveside Services were held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Fairview Cemetery in North Salem, Indiana. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home in North Salem has been entrusted with her arrangements for burial.

Memorials may be directed in her memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
