Jean Elizabeth Taylor, 95, of North Salem, IN, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016.

She was born December 15, 1920 in Hamilton County, IN, daughter of the late C W and Hester (George) Small. She was married to Walter (Chick) Taylor for 67 years.

Jean was a faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She was also a nurse and worked for Riley Hospital for children in surgery and recovery. She was also a long standing member of the Eastern Star at Roachdale.

She is survived by son, Ron (Carolyn) Taylor of North Salem, brother, Allen (Nora) Small of Ladoga, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Chick" Taylor, son, Robert Rafferty, brothers, Stanley Small, Jake Small & Pat Small.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, January 30, 2016, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, North Salem, Service will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Cline officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Jean may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 8350 SR 236, North Salem, IN 46165.
