Janet I. (Crump) Jordan, 67 years old of North Salem, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 21, 2014.

She was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late James B and Dorothy Crump.

She graduated from Northwest Indianapolis High School and retired from Barth Electric after 20 years.

Janet enjoyed painting. She once traveled to China with her church group to smuggle in Bibles. She and her family went to Alaska in 2005.

Janet is survived by her son Michael Jordan and fiance Jessica Reinhardt, two grandsons, Jaylen and Brayden, step-daughter, Elyse, twin sisters, Joyce Greene and Linda Simon, brother, Chet Crump, 2 nieces and 7 nephews.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, September 27, 2014, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, North Salem, Indiana. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Janet will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
