Helen R Riner, 85 years old of Jamestown, IN, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at her residence.
She was born November 14, 1923 in Montgomery County, IN, daughter of the late Ova and Maude Whitely Knox.
She married Robert E. Riner on September 10, 1942. He survives.
She was very active in the Advance Community Christian Church. She was also a member of Pittsboro Order of Eastern Star and Good Sams travel club.
Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with family. She and Bob traveled extensively in their motor home across the United States.
She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She also worked at Lily's during World War II.
Surviving are her daughters, Jayne (Ron) Thompson of Jamestown and Gaye (Ed) Gott of Jamestown, son, John (Kathy) Riner of Jamestown, and Karen (Greg) Buchheit of Louisville, KY, grandchildren, Chris Reese, Jeff (Libby) Reese, Neil Gott, Brian (Kylene) Gott, Kurt (April) Gott, Jennifer (Tony) Bayles, Megan (Jeremy) Goodlett, Joe (Jill) Riner, Lt. JG Jason Riner of the U.S. Navy, Elizabeth Riner, Thomas Riner, Kevin (Maggie) Barker, and Kimberly (Dustin) Cunningham, and16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David Riner,infant sister, Donna Knox, sister Martha Knox, and brothers, Darrell and Bob Knox.
Friends will be received Thursday, August 6, 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Advance Community Christian Church, Advance, Indiana.
Services will be held at Advance Community Christian Church, Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Dave Clayton, Raymond Duff and Tab Greenlee officiating.
Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown, Indiana.
