Helen Iverson, 89 years old formerly of Jamestown, IN, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville, IN.

She was born August 9, 1920 in Covington, KY, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Schorsch Westermeyer. She was the eldest of 8 brothers & sisters.

She married James Iverson on October 13, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN. He survives.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Crawfordsville, the American Legion Auxiliary in Jamestown and the Tomahawk Hills Women's Golf Association.

She was a homemaker and also worked for Frank & Mary's Restaurant as a waitress.

Surviving are her daughters, Jamie Dodson of Jamestown and Marcia Shaw of Waveland, son, Eric Iverson of Indianapolis, 5 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday, October 30, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, IN and Saturday, October 31, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, 300 W. South Boulevard, Crawfordsville, IN.

Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Douglas Givan officiating.

A private family interment will follow in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jamestown, Indiana.
