George L Dale's Obituary
George L Dale, 90 years old of Jamestown, IN, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at Village of Avon.
He was born November 25, 1919 in Jamestown, IN, son of the late George A. and Pearl Osborn Dale.
He married Lucille Brennan on June 22, 1946. She preceded him in death.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Dale, who lost his life while serving in the Vietnam war.
He served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of Jamestown American Legion Post 395.
He retired from Allison Division of General Motors.
Surviving are his daughters, Donna Alexander of North Salem, and Candy Page of Avon, sister, Judy Hanks of Carmel, brother, Charles Dale of Jamestown, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 24, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana.
Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Wally Beam officiating.
Interment will follow in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jamestown, Indiana.
