Mrs. Evelyn Rebecca Smith, 96, passed away Friday morning, July 29, 2022 at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon, Indiana. She was born in Toad Hop, Indiana in Vigo County, on March 6, 1926; a daughter of the late Jake and Hila (Walton) Niccum.

She was married to Harry K. Smith; he preceded her in death on April 1, 1994. Evelyn was an in-home babysitter for 60 years. She was loving and devoted to her family. She made the best homemade noodles and enjoyed gardening, sewing, jigsaw puzzles.

Evelyn is survived by four daughters: Rose, Judy, Becky, Nema and husband, Matt; three sons: Gary and Harry Jr., Bill; brother, Wayne Niccum; sister: Ella Davis; Over 100 plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great children.

In addition to her parents and husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by children, Sandra, George Allen, Nelda, Zelda and Randy, and sister, Martha.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown, Indiana.
