Erna Marie Stewart, 80 years old of Roachdale, IN, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 in Hendricks Regional Health.

She was born May 25, 1929 in Shoals, IN, daughter of the late Reid Lane and Agnes A. Lents Lane.

She married Malcolm Stewart on April 14, 1950. He survives.

She attended Roachdale Christian Church and was a member of the Go-Getters Sunday School class, Pleasant Hill Community Church, Spencer, IN, the Putnam County Camp of Gideons International Auxiliary, the Raochdale Philomath Club & the Town and Country Home Demonstration Club.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, sons, Dr. Dan L Stewart (Donna), Russ A Stewart (Lynn), Michael J Stewart (Diane), and James Wm. Stewart (Corinna), daughter, Deborah K Turner (Chris), sisters, Laura Bowman, Jean Wortinger, Luella Zehr, 15 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents,1 brother & 3 sisters.

Friends will be received Friday, October 9, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Roachdale Christian Church, Roachdale, Indiana.

Services will be held at Roachdale Christian Church, Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Mick Buchanan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
