Donald Wayne Douglas, 88 of Danville, IN, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017.
He was born April 30, 1929 in Hope, IN, son of the late Robert Perry and Fern F. (Hurley) Douglas. Don married Sandy Wagner. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2001.
He served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Indiana Bell after 42 1/2 years.
Don is survived by his sons, Robert E. (Cynthia) Douglas of New Bern, NC and Gary W. (Sundra) Douglas of McEwen, TN, step-daughters, Terry Summitt of IN and Tammy Smith of IN, step-son, Ted Myers of IN, grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer and Michael, step-grandchildren, Sonja, Douglas, Gary, Jeff, Joseph and Andrea, great-grandchildren, Sean, Isabella, Sophia, Liam, Cullen, MacKenzie and Nikolai. He was preceded in death by a step-grandson, Benjamin.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, May 20, 2017, 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. Don will be laid to rest in the New Ross Cemetery.
