Donald "Don" Lee Hume, 85 of New Ross, IN, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Danville Regional Rehab.
He was born June 14, 1932 in Lebanon, IN, son of the late Harry and the late Ruth (Armstrong) Hume.
Don served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, the Jamestown Lions Club and was a Jackson Township Representative for the Boone County Fair. He worked for Allison Gas Turbine, retiring after 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Donelda (Burris) Hume, sons, John (Cindy) Hume of New Ross and Brian (Dawn) Hume of North Salem and grandchildren, Isaac, Owen, Garrett and Breanna Hume.
Family and friends will gather Monday, July 10, 2017, 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana with Pastor Tom Evans officiating. Don will be laid to rest in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
