Obituary

Charles Montgomery Blackmore, 80 years old of Danville died Thursday, January 1, 2009 in Avon Health & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born December 1, 1928 in Danville, IN, son of the late John M. Blackmore and Mary B Montgomery Blackmore.

He was a member of North Salem Christian Church and the American Legion in Danville.

He worked as a machinist for General Motors until retiring in 1993.

Surviving are daughters, Rebecca (Becky) Rutledge of Danville and Barbara Ducas of Greenwood, son, John Blackmore of Danville and brother, Max Blackmore of Coatesville, 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-great grandchild.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 4, 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana.

Services will be held at North Salem Christian Church, Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with John D. Gossett officiating.

Interment will follow in the Scotland Cemetery, Scotland, IN.
