Cathalene Jayne Scott, 96 years old of Jamestown, IN, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in Brownsburg Meadows.

She was born October 9, 1914 in Lizton, IN, daughter of the late John and Okie Mae (Hudson) Bailey.

She married Ivan F. Scott on August 29, 1937 by Rev Andrew in the Jamestown Christian Church. They were married for 73 years. He preceded her in death in 2009.

She was a member of Jamestown Christian Church.

Cathalene was a licensed cosmotologist and also worked at the Jamestown Press in her early years. She was a dedicated homemaker that dearly loved her family.

Surviving are sons, John F. Scott of Jamestown, IN, Phil M. (Su-Esta) Scott of Boulder, CO, and Don J. (Carol) Scott of Augusta, MI, daughter, Cathy J Minix of Brownsburg, IN, 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Sunday, May 1, 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana.

Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Pierson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Jamestown I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Jamestown, Indiana.
