Betty Jean Turner, 88, of New Ross passed away Monday morning, May 2, 2016 in Homewood Health Campus. She had been a resident of New Ross since 1973. Betty was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts for several years in Roachdale and she worked for 15 years at Turner Electronics. Betty was a member of the New Ross Christian Church.

Betty Turner was born March 8, 1928 to Jean and Clara (Loveless) Gorham. She married Paul L Turner, Sr. on August 26, 1946 in Kirklin.

She is survived by her sons Paul L Turner, Jr. (Debbie) of New Ross, David Turner (Melinda) of Advance and Matt Mount (Laurel) of Nashville, TN, sister, Judy Gorham of Frankfort, sister-in-law, Carol Gorham of Lebanon, 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul, a daughter, 3 grandchildren, 3 sisters and a brother.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, May 7, 2016, 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at the New Ross Christian Church, 212 N. Main Street, New Ross, IN. Pastor Ivan Brown will officiate. Betty will be laid to rest in the New Ross Cemetery, New Ross, Indiana.
