Barbara Jean Smoot 76 years of Jamestown passed away Thursday November 2, at her residence. She was born July 24, 1930 in Indianaplis the daughter of the late Clifton H. Shelton and the late Minnie Ethel Nance. She was a member of the Jamestoen Christian Church, VFW, and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxillary Lodge #910 in Lebanon. She had worked as a nurse at many nursing homes in the area. Surviving are a daughter Virginia H. Osborn of Lizton and a son Homer R. Smoot of Beech Grove, sisters Nancy Phillips of Crawfordsville and Roselene Pratt of Advance, brothers Robert Shelton of Jamestown and Lonnie and Thomas Shelton of Crawfordsville 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchhildren and companion Robert A. Phelps of Jamestown. She was preceded in death by a daughter Barbara Ann and a son Willis G. Smoot. Contributions may be made to the donars favorite charity. No services are scheduled.
