Mr. Allen Lee Larmer, 81, of North Salem, Indiana, passed away early Saturday morning, September 23, 2023, at Majestic Care of Avon.  He was born November 16, 1941, in Lebanon, Indiana, a son of the late Henry L. and Mildred Louise (Merritt) Larmer.

On September 9, 1959, he was married to Mary L. "Pokey" (Libka) Larmer at the North Salem Christian Church. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2006.

A longtime resident of North Salem, Allen was a 1959 graduate of North Salem High School. He owned and operated Larmer Service & Sales in Danville for many years.  Allen enjoyed country music and was a member of a country band where he played the guitar. In addition, he liked to garden and ride his motorcycle. He was a member of Barnard Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Sherry L. (Joe) Beason; grandchildren, Steven Allen Asher and Mary Jo Asher; step grandchildren, Katie (Edward) Harville and Sam (Courtney) Beason; great grandchildren, Emma Asher, Braxton Asher, and Trentin Asher; and step great grandchildren, Camden, Gwen, Ayden, Fawkes, and Nyx.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Allen was preceded in death by a son, Rodger Allen "Rod" Larmer, and a brother, Michael L. Larmer.

Graveside Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem, Indiana. No Public Visitation will be held. Porter and Hunt Funeral Home in North Salem has been entrusted with his burial arrangements.
